Circular Economy Project
This design of a retail space for a startup specialising in artisan wax-coated cheddars, with a core objective of promoting the circular economy by incentivising customers to return used wax for reuse. Extensive research into retail psychology informed the design process. A cheese cellar concept for product tasting encourages selective purchasing. An interactive glass tube feature strategically placed at the entrance for customers to deposit used wax, visually highlights their contributions. And materiality, with recycled rubber coating surfaces, elevated the packaging into a central design element, ultimately creating an engaging and sustainable shopping experience.
