Sovereigty

The project centred around marrying the movement of an underwhelming staircase with the historical significance of two plaster casts into an exhibition space. A key part of this project was understanding and using what the site already did. The existing vertical movement, opposing light sources and the light and dark spaces were analysed and put to use toward the theme. The heart of the project was using interior design to create atmospheres that fostered certain moods and emotions. The result was an engaging space that housed the story the Gates of Paradise and Horse of Parthenon tell together; a source of thought-provoking reflection
