A project revolving around understanding and combining precedents. Firstly, a study and reproduction of the Edo period print by Katsushika Hokusai depicting the interior of the Yoshiwara teahouse served as a site. A model was then made allowing an exercise in special perception by filling in the spaces unseen in the print . Secondly, the works of architect and organic designer Kengo Kuma provided inspiration for the architectural transformation of the interior space.
